Elementary I-II![]() "The child experiences the joy of discovery. Thus, the child discovers his own freedom, his own order, his own discipline and his own liberty."
The Absorbent Mind - Dr. Maria Montessori The Elementary I-II Program prepares adults to work with students from nine years to twelve years of age. The program has two phases - Academic preparation and a supervised Practicum. Classes meet for six weeks in the summer for the Academic Phase. Academic classes are conducted at the private Kopecky Montessori Elementary School and Millard's Montclair Public Elementary School with access to its Elementary I-II environments. This unique feature of the program provides optimal learning experiences for each student. Elementary I-II (6-12) students must have completed the Elementary I (6-9) training. Only one Practicum is required for both programs. This Practicum requirement can be completed after you have taken both Academic courses, but it is not recommended. There is no Elementary I-II training scheduled for the 2008-09 school year.Posted May 13, 2008, may be subject to change without notice for information regarding the Infant/Toddler Teacher Training for information regarding the Early Childhood Teacher Training for information regarding the Elementary I Teacher Training
